This notice explains what personal data 1 percent os("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. We are the data controller for this data.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, an optional first name, the goal you pick, anything you tell us you want the product to do, and campaign details (which link or ad brought you here).
- Account: your email address, sign-in details (passwords are stored only by our authentication provider, in encrypted form) and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile Google shares with us.
- App content: the data you create — goals, roadmaps, tasks, habits, schedule entries, workouts, meals, reviews and your settings such as timezone and nutrition targets.
- Usage and device: anonymous page events (page views, button clicks, scroll depth), your IP address and device type for security, and technical logs.
Why we use it
- To run your account and give you the features you signed up for (contract).
- To send AI-generated plans, reviews and answers — using only your own data (contract; you control every suggestion before it's applied).
- To email you about early access, your account and your membership (contract, or consent for marketing).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and rate-limit AI use (legitimate interests).
- To understand which parts of the site and app are useful, in aggregate and anonymous form (legitimate interests).
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the site. We don't use advertising cookies or build advertising profiles. If optional analytics cookies are ever added, we'll ask for your consent first.
Who we share with
- Our hosting, database and authentication provider — to store your data and run the service.
- AI providers — to generate plans, reviews and answers from your data.
- Paddle.com — our reseller and the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance and invoicing, and provides customer service for purchases.
- Email delivery — to send you sign-in, confirmation and product emails.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where the law requires it.
Where data goes
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent protections.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. Waitlist entries are kept until early access launches plus a reasonable follow-up period. If your account ends, you can ask to export your data for 30 days; after that we delete it or anonymize it. Anonymous event data is kept only in aggregate form.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, export it, or withdraw consent — just reply to any email we send you, and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority).
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and least-privilege database rules so your data is only ever visible to you and the small set of systems that need it to run the service.
Children
1% OS is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
